The latest video from the folks at Motor Trend features a Shelby GT500 Super Snake with 630 horsepower doing some heads up drag racing with an all-wheel drive 474 horsepower Nissan GT-R. After fighting my way through the videos old school Godzilla theme I realized a few things, first the folks at Motor Trend who made the video are homers for the Nissan GT-R and second a 630 horsepower Shelby GT500 Super Snake should never ever lose this race. To make a long story short this video from such a trusted source in the automotive world is wrong on so many levels. What they are doing is manipulating your mind into thinking a Nissan GT-R can actually out drag a Shelby GT500 Super Snake which should not be the case. If I didn't know any better I would say Nissan paid Motor Trend to make this video to make people think a GT-R is faster than a Super Snake in the quarter-mile. Maybe I am over thinking or maybe I am completely off base with my thoughts.
